Lesson 6 of 8
Reviews and gates while it’s built
Check the work at the points where mistakes are cheap to fix.
What it is
Delivery builds your chosen direction in stages (charter, requirements, design, prototype, checks). A gate is a human review between stages.
Why it matters
Errors travel downstream: a wrong requirement becomes a wrong design and a wrong prototype. Reviewing early is cheaper than fixing late.
How DeliverX does it
- Each stage’s output must pass its handoff check before the next stage uses it.
- Agents can stop at a gate but can never pass one; only you can approve or send work back.
- The Workroom shows who owns each task, what it must include and how it is checked.
Common mistake
Approving a gate by skimming the summary instead of the output.
Try it in your project
At your next review, open one output and check it against its “Done when” line.
